Balmain

Balmain is a French brand founded by Pierre Balmain, a great French tailor from the nineteenth century, who became famous for his elegant style.

The brand is based on masculine and feminine creations that outline a sexy-rock aesthetic, inspired by music and cinema.

For some years the artistic direction of the fashion house was managed by Christophe Decarnin, who revolutionized the classic spirit of the brand, creating every garment inspired by comfort. Decarnin focuses on evening wear and night-time clothing, adding to its modern and trendy style.

The events of the 80s and strong contrasts animate the collections from the pop, grunge and rock "mood", signed Decarnin, which combines chic garments and casual wear. The Balmain woman wears t-shirts and tattered sweaters, under precious military-style jackets with cadet shoulders, embellished with stones and sequins, or tuxedo jackets.

Subsequently, from 2011 to the present day, the designer is Frenchman Olivier Rousteing, who had the task of refreshing the sober and elegant style that belongs to the maison.

Safari look and dresses built with "Star Treck" straps, skinny fit trousers and gold and bronze coated fabrics, metal-mash, but also animal prints and camouflage, studs and ripped jeans, distinguish the most important carrying out of Balmain.
